IF YOU ONLY KNEW THE ADVANTAGES!!!
Soy wax provides a non-toxic, soot-free, clean burning environment unlike common paraffin wax candles. Soy candles produce 98% less soot than other waxes and are simply amazing! These candles have an incredible scent throw with virtually no black soot. Also, unlike paraffin candles which can emit carcinogens detrimental to your health, unadulterated soy wax is totally organic. You will find that most paraffin candles use metal wicks which when burning give off alarming levels of lead. (OOOOUUUCCCCHHHH!!)

Soy candles help our environment. Soybeans are a renewable, biodegradable resource. Candle wax is just one example of the hundreds of uses of this versatile legume. Each and every soy candle is unique and can have different qualities. Each field of soybeans is different and so each candle may be somewhat unique. The soybean is one of the most versatile products used today. It has been a high protein source for millions of people for thousands of years. However, being a food source is only the beginning of the uses of this abundant resource. Research efforts surrounding soy and its uses have resulted in a multitude of consumer goods such as body & skin care products, hair products, cleaning products, paint removers, crayons, pens, and many more.

Our sensually gratifying 100% soy candles are made from soybeans farmed in the U.S. The wax is a totally biodegradable product. The wicks used in our candles are made of 100% cotton. This makes our candles perfect for everyone, even those with breathing problems. Our candles won't irritate your allergies. Studies have shown that people who sometimes get headaches from burning candles are actually allergic to the paraffin in the candles. Paraffin is a petroleum product- a byproduct of oil refining!

The Children of the Light candles contain no fillers, no cottonseed oils, and obviously no paraffin-which means no petroleum. Our candles burn cleaner, burn cooler, and burn longer (up to three times longer) than paraffin candles. The soothing aromas from our soy candles relax the soul and the senses while providing a warm glow to any room. Unlike many scented candles, the candles from The Children of the Light fill your home with non-diluted fragrances instead of impure paraffin odor. We guarantee that every candle will always be fragrant throughout and not just scented on the top. Soy wax candles have a few unique characteristics to them that do not affect the wonderful way they burn. Sometimes our candles may have a "crusty" appearance on the top of the candle. This creates a rustic look to it but in no way does it affect the way the candle burns. This is completely normal and is one of the characteristics that make this natural wax so unique. Other times you might notice some "wet" looking spots on your candle where the wax adhered to the surface of the glass. These are caused by temperature variations and are just a natural occurrence related to the expansion and contraction of the wax. You will notice that this will change as the candle is burned and the room conditions change. This is no way affects the quality of the candle. Soy candles are very sensitive to temperature and light so be aware of the location when placing or storing your soy candle. Please place it away from sunlight, fluorescent lighting, and sources of heat. When traveling with your candles, be careful as extremes in temperature will melt or freeze our great candles. Did we tell you already that the candles also burn uniformly? This is of course, if you follow the directions. An additional benefit is that clean up is very easy; soy wax can be cleaned up with hot soap and water. Soywax is water soluble so stains on your carpets are a thing of the past.

Really, what is there not to like?

TCOTL Soy Candles Have Memory???

When you light a TCOTL candle for the first time, it remembers how far across the surface it melted. For best results, let the candle surface completely liquefy before extinguishing it with a wick dipper. This will result in a longer lasting soy candle without the frustration of a tunneling effect down the middle. Remember to keep the wicks trimmed to 1/8 of an inch or as short as you can possibly cut them.
